Michael Hall, Housing and Student Life Director at Northwest Kansas Technical College was named Employee of the Month for September. Employee of the Month is a new award presented each month to an employee that goes the extra mile to ensure all students acquire the best possible experience at Northwest Tech.
Michael has been employed at Northwest Tech since the beginning of August. He resides on campus and is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the dorms and coordinating student life activities.
“Michael is one heck of a guy and really works his tail off,” remarked Northwest Tech President Ben Schears. “He’s in early in the mornings and often doesn’t wrap up with the students until well into the late evening. He cares a lot about the students and is always willing to go the extra mile to help.”
Fellow employees decide on the Employee of the Month award. “I feel honored to have been recognized by my fellow employees,” said Michael. I am really enjoying my time at Northwest Tech. I love interacting with the students; it is my favorite part of the job. I enjoy giving students something to do on the weekends.”
Michael enjoys sports and running. Michael graduated from Goodland High School in 2004. He continued his schooling at Colby Community College and Kansas City College. Growing up he wanted to be a weatherman.
