Position Title: Civil / Transportation CAD Drafter
Location of Position:Denver, CO
Job Description
Amec Foster Wheeler has a career opportunity for an entry level Civil / Transportation CAD Drafter to join our Denver, CO team. The ideal candidate has sharp technical capabilities and a commitment to delivering a quality product.

Key Responsibilities

•Support civil transportation projects including roadways and Bridges
•Under close supervision and according to established standards and procedures will create detailed civil drawings, layouts and sketches using computer-aided design software including AutoCAD and Microstation
•Detail plan sheets for bridges, walls, culverts, and other drainage features for transportation projects
•Assist engineers to produce plan sets for clients and manage CAD production
•Design or redesign complex layouts and drawings from general written or verbal specifications from project team
•Work with project team to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs and make corrections to the drawings as requested by the senior staff
•Adhere to client-specific CAD standards
•Other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications
•Associate or technical school degree required
•0 to 1+ years related civil drafting experience
•Roadway, civil experience is a plus
•AutoCAD proficiency is required. Microstation and AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus
•Interest in civil roadway / structural drafting
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Ability to work efficiently and independently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
•Excellent attention to detail
•Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with staff in a team environment
•Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
•Experience with CDOT and/or Central Federal Lands projects is a plus
•Must pass drug test and background check
