Position Title: Entry Level CAD Technician
Location of Position: Lakewood, CO
Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB PURPOSE
The CAD Technician is a developmental position working under direct supervision to support a project team by drafting basic drawings, conducting basic research, and preparing final documents for various projects within our office. In this role, an employee will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency within the following:
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:
2 year degree in AutoCAD and some work experience desired
Strong attitude and motivation and a desire to learn the civil engineering and real estate design business is a must.
Workload management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate a basic understanding and entry-level application of the following technical skills:
AutoCAD
AutoCAD Civil 3-D
Land Development Desktop
MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
Plan Interpretation, Presentation, and Clarity
Demonstrate entry-level competency by completing the tasks associated with the position in the following applications and skills:
Construction Cost Estimating
Earthworks
Grading Design
Site Planning
Civil Construction Plan Preparation
