On May 15, Northwest Kansas Technical College honored the 50th graduating class of 137 students who earned either an Associate of Applied Science Degree or Technical Certificate during the 2014-2015 academic year. Computer Graphics Technology student, Jordan Knitig of Goodland sang the National Anthem to begin the ceremony, and Bruce Buck, Vice Chairman of the Area Board of Control, welcomed those in attendance.
Frank Otter, Chairman of the Area Board of Control, introduced the commencement speaker. Joe Bain of the Kansas Board of Regents addressed the graduating class of 2015 during the commencement ceremony. President Dr. Ed Mills presented area Board of Control Vice Chairman Bruce Buck with an Honorary Degree.
Dean of Students, Jason Showalter presented the Technical Certificates and Associate Degrees, and presented Respiratory Therapy student Miranda Clark, from Booneville, Miss. with the Student of the Year award.
There was a small reception following the ceremony and families and friends took photos outside the Max Jones Fieldhouse.
